We are always on the lookout for great opportunities to buy wine and have just found one - a restaurant clearance from West London, packed with tons of great producers, rare bottles with some age, as well as some very cheap and cheerful bin-ends. The restaurant had an off-site storage for all the wines.

Highlights include: top-class Champagne from Krug, Dom Perignon, Egly-Ouriet, Maxime Blin, and halves of Roederer, Philipponat, Piper Heidsieck; a range of Burgundy including Guffens-Heynen, Gouges, de Montille, Drouhin-Laroze; a particularly strong selection from the Loire, featuring Dagueneau, Thierry Germain, Vincent Pinard; New World stars such as Burn Cottage and Rhys; Aldo Conterno and Scavino from Piedmont; Riesling from JJ Prum and Schloss Lieser; and on and on and on.
